Early Life and Military Career

Sucha Singh Soorma was born in 1763 in the village of Padhri Sahib, Punjab. He joined the army of the Sikh Confederacy at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks due to his bravery and leadership skills.

In 1799, Soorma played a key role in the Battle of Kasur, where the Sikh army defeated the Afghan forces led by Zaman Shah Durrani. This victory established Soorma as a prominent general within the Confederacy.
